Supply Chain Transparency: How We Integrated Blockchain for a Manufacturing Client

Supply Chain Transparency: How We Integrated Blockchain for a Manufacturing Client

A mid-sized electronics manufacturer approached us with a specific problem: retailers and consumers demanded proof of ethical sourcing, but their existing database system could not provide tamper-proof records. Audit trails were fragmented across multiple regional warehouses.

Assessment and Planning

Review existing data infrastructure and identify integration points. We mapped their current ERP system, documented API endpoints, and evaluated which blockchain platform matched their transaction volume. The company processed roughly 8,000 shipments monthly across Europe and Asia.

Pilot Implementation

Deploy a limited blockchain network connecting three facilities first. We chose Hyperledger Fabric for its permissioned structure and built custom smart contracts to record component origins, assembly timestamps, and quality checkpoints. Each product received a unique hash linked to its physical QR code.

Scaling and Training

Expand the network incrementally while training warehouse staff on new protocols. We connected the remaining nine facilities over four months, conducting hands-on workshops for 47 employees who would interact with the system daily.

Verification and Maintenance

Establish monitoring procedures and response protocols for network issues. The client now provides customers with blockchain-verified product histories. System uptime has remained above 99.2 percent since full deployment, with average query response times under two seconds.

Implementation stages at Degreex Systems

01

Requirements analysis

We examine your existing workflows, identify integration points, and map out technical dependencies specific to your infrastructure.

02

Architecture design

Our team builds a detailed technical blueprint showing how blockchain components connect with your current systems without disrupting operations.

03

Development and testing

We implement the solution in a controlled environment, run security audits, and validate performance under realistic load conditions.

04

Deployment and training

We roll out the system to production, provide documentation, and train your team on day-to-day management and troubleshooting procedures.
